I like early morning, like from 3 am until 5 am. No fighting for the equipment and it is the best time for me. But each person must choose what is best for them.

Too many people believe you have to lift heavy weights for it to be effective. That is not true.  At first I even had to constantly be reminded to lighten up on the weights.

Being sore can cause people to quit working out.  Understanding how to work out, how to eat and the best way to recover is an important part of training.

I am sorry to say that many diets are bs.  Many diet plans are NOT set up to help you lose weight.  Until you learn to eat in a way that sets you up for wins, you lose.

DonAlan Rekow

Beginning in his 60th year (still 59) DonAlan began a journey to become a "Buff Grandpa."  He now is sometimes called a BadAss Grandpa and known to work the hardest at the gym.

Stefanie Miner

Stefanie is an avid body builder and mother of 3 boys.  She is the one who challenged DonAlan to "get fit" and compete in 2020.

Leslie Rekow

Leslie is a professional bike racer, pilates instructor, mother of 5, and the principle support for her world-class adventure racer husband.
